My frequent trips to India always revolve around fulfilling our mission to bring clean, safe water to people in need in order to create a lasting impact for generations to come. Our vision is to see a world where everyone has access to safe drinking water and the opportunity to live a healthy and productive life.

This past trip was no different and was a first for me in that our work expanded into 3 new states, Assam, Nagaland and Jharkhand. I also was in West Bengal and Odisha on this trip where between all these states, 10 new water projects were opened. These projects were all recently drilled, and hand pumps installed thereby providing a protected water source for each village and community. Previously these places were accessing small streams or open pit wells for their water and as such were susceptible to sickness and disease.

It was a wonderful thing to be in each place cutting the ribbon and pumping the well for the first time and seeing the clean water flow knowing that this water was going to make a difference in the lives of all who would access the project.

I’m so grateful for the generous support of our donors and partners who made the work possible.

My next trip should happen in January, and I will be traveling to Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh among other places looking to open projects in 20 to 25 new places.

Many more villages are asking for water, and it is only through your generosity that we can move forward. Would you consider this Christmas season giving the gift of life to a village or community in need of clean water?
