What if you had to walk a kilometer to collect water suitable for drinking?

This sadly, for many villages is their reality.

The common story I heard in each place was that they were walking anywhere from 1/2 kilometer to 3 kilometers for clean water.  In a few of the villages I saw the open pit well they were using and I just couldn’t imagine having that being the water source for their daily needs which of course includes cooking and drinking.

With the conclusion of this November trip, we have brought water to 72 new places which includes villages, schools and rural communities, thus making the long walk to fetch clean water something of the past.

As I celebrate the 17 newly opened projects in NE India, I also remember the numerous places that are still waiting our touch. All of these villages are filled with men, women and children who are looking for someone to meet their need for clean water and provide them with a touch.

Will you help me make this December one to remember for them?
